This unique piece is specially produced by the world's best jewellery designers and craftsmen, using the approximately 5,000-year-old traditional art of hand-knitted jewellery, entirely by hand, without using any machinery*.

This art is kept alive by jewellery masters who are very rare in the world because it is very difficult and laborious to make; 22-carat gold or 1000-carat pure silver wires**, which are brought to a thickness of 0.08 microns, almost like a strand of hair, are knitted by wrapping them on a silk thread using a special technique with the help of a needle and crochet hook. Thus, unique, genuine hand-knitted jewellery that is biocompatible, skin-friendly, more flexible, and soft is obtained.

*Only the lock part is a machine product produced by molding.
**For silver products, only the lock part is 925 Sterling silver.

By establishing the Jewellery Arts Academy, ST YILDIRIM developed the project of providing jewelry handicraft training to unemployed women, especially those living in rural areas, by the world's best jewelry masters, in order to strengthen working women's cooperatives, and to employ those who successfully completed it in their own homes. Thus, we designed an education and production model in which unemployed but talented rural women can be discovered, trained as artisans, and subsequently employed.

How we do?

• The project is announced and applications are collected by carrying out promotional activities, especially in rural areas.
• Unemployed women with interest and talent in jewellery arts are discovered and subjected to a one-year intensive training program by the world's best jewellery masters.
• Women who successfully complete the program and receive their expertise are employed for the second year and are only allowed to weave silver jewellery.
• Our artisans, who successfully complete their second year, start weaving gold jewellery with perfect handicrafts as of their third year.
• According to the orders received by ST YILDIRIM, silver or gold wires are delivered to the homes of expert knitters, mostly living in rural areas.
• A bracelet can be made in 5 days on average, a necklace in 3 days, rings, earrings, etc. It is knitted in one day.
• Completed knitting products are delivered from the knitters' homes and quality checks are carried out by the world's best jewelery masters. Any defects are removed, buckles are attached, and it is retouched to turn it into a flawless masterpiece.
